Do Your Home Teaching!

Hey fam, this week was........well, it was a week. We found a new investigator on Sunday afternoon His name is Robert, we went back tuesday and taught the first lesson, it went really well! He loved to B.O.M and said he felt like the book had power in its pages, I was able to testify to him that it was the spirit. Then wednesday we had a zone conference and interviews with President. We focused on improving our teaching and each set of missionaries brought one of their real live investigators to the conference, (except us because we have none lol, Robert could not come) and we were able to teach them twice. The rest of the week was pretty standard. The ward here is really small, maybe 150 or so people who regularly show up to church, it makes me sad, so please do your home teaching or visiting, go to church, fullfill your calling and reach out to less actives and give refferals to the missionaries! Member missionary work is the best way to work! love yall till next week.

Happy Valentines Day!

Well this is gonna be another short email cause not a lot happened this week. Our investigator Brittany got out of the hospital and came to stake conference Saturday adult session but then went back into the hospital the next day :/ other than that we have been doing a lot of "finding" (tracting) but it's all good, President sent a fiery email this week to everyone about faith and finding so this next week will hopefully be awesome. In other news I'm 19 now so that's pretty neat. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Thought: 3 Nephi 22/Isaiah54:7-10

7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee, but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment, but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
9 For this, the waters of Noah unto me, for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee.
10 For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee

His kindness won't depart from us!

If someone knocks on your door at 8am on a Monday it's probably Hunter with some brownies haha

Rain, Rain, and More Rain

Hey fam. Not much happened this week this will be a short one sorry.

Brittany has a problem with smoking so we taught her the Word of Wisdom and she wanted to stop already so we thought it was going to be great. She smoked a pack a day and the day after our lesson she only smoked 2 cigarettes so we were on to some steady improvement, then the day after we got a text saying she was checking into a mental hospital for anxiety and what not, we haven't had contact with her since...... its been a bummer deal so keep her in your prayers.

Other than that we found few new investigators we have lessons with this week so hopefully they pan out. We also had exchanges with the Zone Leaders and our District leader and that was a good time, that's when we found the new Inv. everything good happens on exchanges i swear....

thought for the week: Romans 8:35-39

"35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"

Happy Valentines day!!!! Remember if no one else loves you, Jesus Christ does, and his love is perfect!

this week it rained like none other, never seen rain like it in my life
pics of me for everyones enjoyment, you're welcome:)

"A Little Ray of Sunshine"

Hey fam! This week was pretty good, we had a few awesome lessons with Brittany again this week and she's progressing very well! We taught her the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a few of the commandments. But on Friday we went to the DC temple! And it was awesome! We were able to meet the temple president and his wife and they answered questions we had and we went into one of the sealing rooms and talked about that and the end goal for our investigators, and we got to do a session. It was really awesome.
Now the Highlight!
Our ward sacrament meeting is at 1 and Brittany had to work at 12 so we went earlier with her to the 9 o'clock ward fast and testimony meeting, and Guess who was there? President and Sister Smith! and the stake presidency and Elder S. Gifford Nielson of the first quorom of the 70! How crazy is that. The meeting went awesome and everyones testimonies were on point for what Brittany needed to hear. Then at the end Elder Nielson bore a powerful testimony and told us all about the meeting the apostles first presidency and the first 70 had in the temple that thursday which was awesome. After the meeting we were like we gotta introduce Brittany to President, and so we did and it was aweosme and as we were talking he was like, "hold on just a minute let me get Elder Nielson over here, and then he came over and shook my hand and when he did he was like, "Well aren't you just a little ray of sunshine!" hahahaha but he met Brittany and talked to her for like 10 minutes and said all the right things and made some really awesome promises to her, you can always count on a General authority lol.
But I want everyone who reads this to listen to\read Elder Nielsons 2013 conference talk, called "Hastening the Lords Game Plan" Us here in the states really rely on members missionary work, everyone is a missionary. The work here........doesn't come as easy as in other parts of the world, lets put it that way. So listen to his talk and really try and implement what he says into your lives. Love you all
