Goodbye Pres. and Sis Smith

Hey Y'all, what a week it has been........

President Smith went home this week, sad day..... Ironically, Sister Smith was wearing the EXACT SAME outfit in the first photo I ever took with them, and the last photo I took with them haha. Our last meeting with them was super fun, President and Sister Smith bore their testimonies and we had some fun skits making fun of them and the mission culture and each other, everyone had a good laugh. It was sad to say goodbye though, they've somehow were able to build a personal relationship with me despite having 100+ missionaries to care for. I love those guys.

Saturday I went back to Meadowbrook for a baptism! Chris Pugh, a guy Elder Jones and found and taught like 10 months ago, he had a baptismal date, but he moved like 2 weeks before his baptism. But, he moved back to Richmond not too long ago and the missionaries picked him back up. Anyway i was able to go to his baptism and it was awesome! To see the seeds we plant finally come to fruition.

I ended up meeting President Droubay at the baptism, which was cool. It was a different experience, he looked clueless haha, he introduced himself to me twice, once at the beginning and once at the end of the baptism, he's got a lot to think about so I can't blame him.

This week we had some good exchanges, some good wrestling matches, and some good food. Also Saturday was the most sweaty I think I've ever been, we biked all day and it was HOT and exceedingly humid.

D&C 58:2-4

For verily I say unto you, blessed is he that keepeth my commandments, whether in life or in death; and he that is faithful in tribulation, the reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven.
Ye cannot behold with your natural eyes, for the present time, the design of your God concerning those things which shall come hereafter, and the glory which shall follow after much tribulation.
For after much tribulation come the blessings. Wherefore the day cometh that ye shall be crowned with much glory; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand."
